It seems unbelievable and if I had said years ago that one of the biggest hits of a Nintendo console would be a fitness game you would have called me crazy. But friends, Nintendo Wii, Shigeru Miyamoto, his imagination is boundless and a device called the Balance Board were to blame for the last two or three years Wii Fit was sold out in stores.

Now with the coming of Nintendo Wii U it was more or less clear that Nintendo would try to repeat the same move. But it is not easy, they have to innovate and compete against more advanced technologies such as as those from PS Move and  Kinect capable of detecting the whole body and even make us correct positions. Of course, Nintendo fans can rest assured that Miyamoto himself has taken the bull by the horns and is now battling to make something really new and take advantage of the new capabilities of the console.

I can’t really talk about it in detail, but we’re working on new ways to do training exercises with Wii Fit, like using the camera, you can place it against something and play while the game looks at your status.

In addition to new features embeded from the powerful new Nintendo Wii U Remote, you have to remember the full support of the new console with peripherals of the previous Balance Board to make sure it is stil useful. Will the genius Miyamoto surprise us with this new ‘Wii Fit’?
