Yesterday it was confirmed that Assassin’s Creed 3 will also come to Wii U, the next Nintendo console, and now they have unveiled the first specific details of this version, which as expected will use the touch screen of the controller of the console for some game functions.

The American publication Nintendo Gamer has had access to this information, to be published in a report in the next print edition, but has released a sneak peak in part on its website.

The Wii U version of the next installment in the saga of Ubisoft will use the tablet control for the “eagle vision” of the main character, the ability of the murderers of Assassin’s Creed to detect enemies, behavior patterns and other threats in the game world . Apparently this view mode is displayed on the touch screen of the Wii U Remote.

The display will also be used to switch weapons access quickly during the game and access the map and navigate the historical database that includes the title, regardless of the menu systems of other versions. They also confirmed that the Wii U version will feature puzzles that will be resolved via the touchscreen. We will keep you informed.

At the gates of the new generation, we wonder if the Wii model is now over. Some analysts talk of a bubble that has exploded and that it can not continue; statements that force us to question the following: Does the Wii U need to get away from what its predecessor stood for?

Many have read the recent statements of the controversial Michael Pachter, one of the leading analysts of the scene. Known for throwing judgments and forecasts on key current issues, whether the expected GTA V or Wii U, is back on everyone’s lips saying that “Wii is a bubble that already burst” and that those players “are playing Farmville now. ” Is Pachter exaggerating?

His words, collected by the site VentureBeat, turned to the Internet and, although controversial, may offer new clues about the future of Nintendo and its promising console, Wii U. After profitable Wii sales, the need for new technology was inevitable. So now, it was time to increase the power, restart and reinvent. In the current market players do not need a high end console to game on and, in many cases, conform to the number of games that tablets and smartphones offer. Not to mention the wide range of clients to guide their impulses by simple fads.

In addition, the company itself has been responsible for distancing themselves from the image associated with mini-games or titles that focus on a more family oriented industry. While Nintendo never abandoned the mass market overall objective but has placed much emphasis on their goal towards the most hardcore player. Their emphasis on the possibilities of the shooter genre, or the panoramic view in driving titles are simple examples of this new direction.

Change is coming

Furthermore, observing the catalog of titles, we find first-class games, many of them focusing on the oldest public. Batman: Arkham City, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Assassin’s Creed, Darksiders II, Metro Last Light ... seems that Nintendo wants to be reunited with the traditional player, one who is faithful and does not follow the latest trend. Of course, the console has a great potential for family games (in fact keep the gameplay and controls in Wii), but its commitment to high end gaming stands out above all.

What do you think?

So rather than abandoning a style of play, Nintendo may want to reconcile with gamers those who are loyal and outsiders. And do you think Nintendo will have on a new type of game style?

Various media claim that since Nintendo has a very aggressive price strategy for the launch of its new Wii U. Some sites have revealed that the cost of the console in Europe would be 299 euros. It is curious to realize that the Wii U will be much more expensive compared to others in the rest of the globe.

In a report conducted by Gamer Zone it ensures that Nintendo’s pricing policy for the launch of this revolutionary new console is set. According to various leaks the retail price in Europe would be 299 euros but it is much more shocking to realize that the selling price in the U.S. could also be $299. This means that the console in Europe would be about 75 euros more expensive than the U.S. rate of change.

The information, provided by means of filtration by WiiDaily, go much further if we look at the retail price in Japan that would be 22,000 yen. This would mean that the Nippon device would be about 185 euros cheaper than Europe.

This revolutionary video game system will not appear on the world market until the next Christmas, so these prices are far from being officially confirmed by Nintendo. Surely we should wait until the conclusion of E3 (the largest gaming convention in the sector) next summer.

Despite the remarkable fluctuation of the selling price of this device as has been confirmed by these numbers, many sectors have already expressed their satisfaction because Nintendo is proposing to place their console on sale below the price barrier of 300 euros. Certainly, if confirmed would be a bombshell for the next Christmas.

The creators of Double Fine show interest in the Wii U.

Wii U could mean the resurgence of adventure games. The possibilities through its controller maybe perfect for these types of games and could resurrect a forgotten type of genre that has been pushed back. In addition, the interest shown by Double Fine (developer that counts among its ranks with the parents of Day of the Tentacle and Monkey Island) point to a new renaissance in the Nintendo console.

Much has been spoken of the potential or Wii U shooters. Its innovative control, equipped with an excellent screen, seems perfect to redefine these games, frankly, something stuck. This time, the interest shown by Double Fine, responsible the adventure game Double Fine Adventure has raised an interesting debate about the possibilities of this kind of games in the Nintendo console.

Just a few days ago via Twitter a user decided to ask Tim Schafer would it be not possible to release Double Fine Adventure on that platform, “So what is the likely of a Wii U version? The touch screen seems perfect for adventure games. “ The answer was immediate: “We can! It is a completely new engine for us. ”

As you know, the Wii U controller allows players to focus on the TV and increase via zoom parts of a level. On the other hand, we can rotate and see sections that obviously are not on the TV screen. In short, a controller that has great potential for exploration and the search for clues, which is crucial in solving puzzles.

Excitement increases when you know that behind this title are the creators of Monkey Island or Day of the Tentacle, two crown jewels that where on top of the world in the heyday of the genre. For the clueless, note that Double Fine Adventure decided to finance their latest project by way of crowfounding, achieving a figure far more than a million and half dollars. Amazing, isn’t ?

Will we live a second period of splendor?

There is no doubt that the possibilities are quite good for Wii U. On the other hand, we should not rule out that this type of games may very well be distributed in future Next-Gen consoles, especially in light of recent rumors, which mentions that both PlayStation 4 and Xbox 720 could come with a remote shaped as a tablet … Anything is possible.

Nintendo has finally revealed details of the release of its new home console. The successor to the current Wii, dubbed Wii U, will be released later this year. The Japanese company plans to make the final presentation of the console during E3 2012, to be held in June in Los Angeles. During the fair, we will see the final design of the machine as well as games that will be part of their initial catalog. Nintendo will continue to pursue the strong focus on social games of the original Wii, although the Wii U will have the power to run high quality games like Battlefield and enough graphics power for Assassin’s Creed.

The announcement was made by the president of Nintendo, Satoru Iwata. This announcement has been limited to estimating the final release date, because both the Wii U console’s power and the final design, remains a mystery. The latest rumors about it, show that the console will double the power of Xbox 360. If so, Wii U will become the first system that opens up a new generation of consoles, hoping that Sony and Microsoft will also present their new platforms.

Remember that Wii U was introduced last summer at E3. Something that has caught our attention is the controller, a cross between traditional controller and a tablet and has a 6.2 inch screen. Also, Nintendo will premiere with a home console of high definition. Its controller will allow games to continue with a game directly on its display, and perform many other actions such as video calls.

Nintendo has confirmed that the console will come to U.S., Europe, Japan and Australia later this year, however, while it could make for a juicy holiday season, Wii U could also get a go ahead in October or November as has been pointed by sources close to the company. The current Nintendo Wii was launched in 2006 during Christmas. Its unexpected success led to a significant lack of stock in some areas. Problem Nintendo will want to avoid with the Wii U.

Although there still a long way to go for the next Nintendo home console, gradually we are getting to know new Wii U details, the next bet of the company from Nippon after Wii, the best selling console of this generation. Wii U stays true to its predecessor, with superior graphics power from the Wii, also designed for gamers a very peculiar feature: a controller screen, the cornerstone of this new platform.

Little is known about the characteristics of the screen that is included with the controller, but recently we have discovered new details, such as using a built in camera and several microphones. Of all the features, there are two new aspects that have come to light from a patent filed by Nintendo: a high definition display that will support three-dimensional images, something totally new for Nintendo, for the moment, it has not been officially announced.

The Nippon company will certainly use the same system as that used in its handheld Nintendo 3DS, through a stereoscopic screen, as many of you know, it can display two identical images with different approaches, allowing to achieve an optical effect that contributes to image depth, as elements without special glasses. The main problems of this system are the lack of effect when viewing from a different angle or the need to regulate the 3D display for each user, being totally different in different games.

Among other interesting and previously unknown features about the Wii U Remote is a facial recognition system where a user can import their face into the game, which is mainly useful for augmented reality games or avatars, the Miis. In any case, all these aspects are not 100% official, since the characteristics of the controller registered patent may differ in when we actually see the controller with the console when it is launched.

The craze for application stores does not end. Having the entire system of a platform in one place, neat and easy to download is a temptation too great. If further increases the desire of users wanting to purchase, what more could you ask for?

Nintendo, is preparing after the 3DS revolution in the market for home consoles with the Wii U, they will be ready according to The Daily, a large application store to fill the gap for all types of utilities, games and services that the new console will bring.

That store would improve – something very easy – the actual content platform sales and would focus on downloading games rather than physical sale. It would also be an important source of applications and utilities designed to control the great touch screen that is the Wii U Remote, that with this store they could aspire to have much more of its own identity and be a kind of tablet that is meant to be for the digital home.

Having a properly configured store will also be key for developers outside of Nintendo that are interested in bringing their creations or move it there from from their other great games and platforms. Things seem to be looking up for Nintendo in 2012.

Basically a lot of people were dancing in front of their TVs in their living rooms. much of the success of dancing games has been due to Nintendo since the Wii turned gaming into a fun activity, you could say it all began with Wii Sports and then Wii fit.

However for 2012 some speculate that we will see a decline in sales of dancing games kind of like what happened with the whole rock band thing but I feel that the dancing games will continue to be popular when I recently went to fan Expo there was a large stage set up for just dance and many people were enjoying the game it actually was one of the most popular games there.

Dancing games have also been hit amongst people wanting to get in shape games like Zumba, ExertBeat, Wii fit have helped many people get in shape and with the release of the Nintendo Wii U in 2012 I suspect the Nintendo will keep on releasing dancing games. I expect we could see just dance 4 perhaps or a new installment of Wii fit.
